Pupil Results

At Christ the King we are proud to share and celebrate our fantastic results. In 2026 we once again achieved well above national at different stages of education, making us a successful Wirral primary school. In 2024, OFSTED acknowledged our high expectations and ambitions and the hard work and success of our children. (Please see recent report.)
In 2026, 86% of our Y6 pupils achieved the expected standard or higher in reading, with 34% reading at a greater depth level.
94% of our pupils achieved the expected standard or higher in maths, with 40% at the greater depth level, both well above national and something we are veryy proud of. Our grammar score also reflects great achievement with 82% meeting the expected standard (40% at greater depth) compared to 74% nationally.
It's not just our end of key stage data that we are celebrating. Our Y4 children successfully learnt their multiplication facts, with 71% achiving 100%, which was well above the national score of 44%.
91% of our Year 1 children passed their phonics screening check, with 82% being the national average.
Similarly, our FS2 scores were ranked very highly with 76% achieving GLD. Our children are well prepared at each stage of their journey with us.
