Maths
In Year 2 Maths, we begin by extending our knowledge of Place Value before applying this to Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. Our units also include Money, Shape, Fractions and Time.

English 
In English, we will be exploring a variety of texts from The King Who Banned the Dark to Somebody Swallowed Stanley. We also study a short film called 'Marshmallow' as well as progressing on to short chapter books such as 'The Magic Finger' in the Summer Term.

Theme
Our Geography topics are Seasides, Kampong Ayer and 'Where Our Food Comes From'.  

Our History units are the Great Fire of London, the Titanic and significant individuals such as Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. 

RE
In RE, we learn about Chosen People as well as exploring the Mystery of God. We also explore how Jesus is Good News and how he works amongst us today through the Holy Spirit. In preparation for Year 3, we learn about Mass make links to the Last Supper.

Science
In Science we investigate Materials, Animals including Humans, Habitats and Plants.
