Hello and welcome Year 2!

This term we will be learning lots of exciting things in school, don't worry if like last year you have to stay away from school for a while to isolate so that everyone is kept safe. 
Mrs Barker, Mrs Skelton and Miss Lloyd will be updating the website with lots of information and activities so that you can follow what we are doing in class.

Homework
Homework is set every week. Your child will receive one piece of either Maths or English every Friday which is to be returned by the following Friday. 

In addition, spellings are sent home weekly and will be tested every Friday.

We encourage weekly access to Mathletics and Spelling Shed.

This term, The Magic Finger and a variety of non-fiction and poetry.

 

 

Theme

Our topic this term is Australia, we will be looking at the location in regards to the wider world as well as looking at Aboriginal art and Amy Johnson's flight. 

 

 

RE

Our topic this term is 'Eastertide', we will learn about Jesus' resurrection and what this means for us as Christians. We will then learn all about The First Christians.
