Curriculum Information
At Christ the King Catholic Primary School, our broad curriculum has Christian values at its heart and provides our pupils with opportunities to gain essential knowledge, skills and understanding which will enable them to flourish and reach their full potential academically, physically and artistically. Whilst our curriculum encompasses the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, our vision is to provide our pupils with a range of learning experiences beyond the classroom which inspire our pupils and helps shape their futures; ensuring that they are responsible citizens of the future. In order to develop caring, confident and curious young people, we will help our children become increasingly aware of the impact of humans on the environment, our past, our relationships and Christian life. They will be prepared for their future in a technological world and how to be safe and respectful in it. From the early years, our children will enjoy listening to stories and reading books and through systematic synthetic phonics, will become fluent readers.
