Hello Year 4!

Welcome back to Home Learning! Miss Yates and Mr MacKenzie hope you had a wonderful Easter break and had time to relax in the sunshine.

Although we are not back to normal at school yet, we have got lots of exciting work and projects that you can be completing at home. Some of you may be coming towards the end of your work booklets that you took home from school before we finished. If you are not, just carry on working through them. Try to stick to a routine, for example; English and Maths in the morning with a few brain breaks and then Reading and a Topic based project in the afternoons. For those of you who need some more work activities to do, we have uploaded a summer term week 1 timetable. This is just a guide of things that you can do over the week. You will recognise the White Rose Maths worksheets that we have used in our Maths lessons in schools. There is video to watch to help you understand the LO and then a worksheet to answer questions. Your adults will have been sent your Bug Club logins, this is to help you with reading. We have allocated books to you all that you can read online and then answer questions, similar to Accelerated Reader.

We have uploaded a new Home Learning Map with lots of different tasks. They are Science and Geography based with some Art too. Have a go at the activities and post your experiments, art galleries and knowledge organisers on you class Seesaw pages. We would love to see your work!

Don’t forget to take some time each day to do something for yourself, it might be reading for pleasure, painting, building a den with your siblings or playing a game in the garden.  Remember to stay active too; I am sure many of you are accessing the fun YouTube videos available online!

We know you have been at home for a while now but you are doing brilliantly. We can’t wait to welcome you all back to school as soon as we can. For now; keep going, keep active and keep smiling!
