French

At Christ the King Catholic Primary, children study French in KS2.  Our emphasis is upon building an engaging knowledge and vocabulary-rich curriculum, which progressively builds upon key vocabulary and grammar used in the French language. Students will build an understanding of use of masculine/feminine vocabulary and some basic verb conjugation.

Planning is broadly based upon the ilanguages program which aims to broaden/teach French vocabulary and also introduces students to the culture and conventions of French society. Students will learn through songs, stories and poems, strengthened by repetition of vocabulary from previous lessons.
